Site for Nuclear Power Plant Construction in Kazakhstan to Be Chosen in 2022
The Deputy Minister said that to meet the goals of Kazakhstan's Environmental Code, new emission-free generation must be built, including a possible nuclear power plant, though the site and scale have not yet been determined. In Soviet times, several sites including Ulken, Kurchatov and Western Kazakhstan were considered.
