Unscheduled Inspections of Thermal Power Plants to Be Conducted in Kazakhstan
PM Alikhan Smailov ordered inspections of TPPs' readiness for peak winter loads after visiting Petropavlovsk TPP, where a chimney collapsed two and a half months earlier. Heating in Petropavlovsk had to be shut off three weeks early to begin repairs, with expert findings on the chimney due by May 15.
