Kazakhstan's First Nuclear Power Plant Could Appear by 2035
Kazakhstan Nuclear Power Plants CEO Timur Zhantikin said preparatory work takes about five years and construction about six, meaning commissioning could occur by 2035 if a reactor supplier is chosen soon. Six major nuclear technology producers from China, the US, South Korea, Japan, Russia and France submitted proposals in 2019.
