The meeting participants discussed energy issues, strengthening cooperation between Kazakhstan and Tajikistan in the energy sector, establishing mutually beneficial relations in the field of electricity purchase and sale.

During the reception, the parties exchanged views on issues of further mutually beneficial cooperation within the framework of joint actions aimed at developing the energy industry.

As a result of the productive meeting, has been determined the main guidelines for the work of KOREM in the energy market of Tajikistan. Representatives of the diplomatic mission, in turn, expressed their readiness to provide support in communication and coordination of representatives of the energy companies of the two countries.

From June 2 to 4, the capital of Tajikistan will host the Summit of Central Asian countries on the development of clean energy sources, and also the regional conference "Prospects for the development of renewable energy in the countries of Central Asia”. The discussion and exchange of views of the participants will be focused on problematic issues and prospects for the development of renewable energy in Central Asia and current directions in the "green" economy. The head of KOREM JSC Kairat Rakhimov will make a report on the development of the renewable energy sector in Kazakhstan on the first day of the conference.
