A seminar on the topic “Experience in Conducting Renewable Energy Auctions in Kazakhstan” was held at the site of JSC “KOREM” with the participation of delegations from the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as the CDC “Energy”.
The event was supported by the regional program “European Union for Sustainable Central Asia: Renewable Energy in Central Asia” (EURECA) and aimed at strengthening regional cooperation and exchanging best practices in renewable energy project auctions.

Participants were introduced to the legislative and technical aspects of implementing the auction system in Kazakhstan, as well as the achieved results and future plans for the development of “green” generation within the framework of the Action Plan for the Development of the Electric Power Industry until 2035.
In addition, representatives of LLP “Settlement and Financial Center for Support of Renewable Energy Sources” presented government support measures provided to investors in renewable energy projects, as well as the established system of contractual relations ensuring a favorable investment climate.

During the meeting, the delegations showed great interest, asked a number of clarifying questions, and expressed their gratitude to JSC “KOREM” for the high-quality organization and substantive program of the seminar.
