JSC “Kazakhstan Operator of the Market of Electric Energy and Capacity” informs that the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan has approved the schedule for free auction trading for 2025.

Free auction trading, in which participants provide their own land plots, contributes to broader engagement of private initiatives and expands the geographical distribution of renewable energy facilities.
These auctions stimulate the development of a competitive environment, ensure broader coverage of potential investors, and comply with the principles of transparency and fairness.

In this regard, we invite all interested parties planning to implement renewable energy projects in Kazakhstan to take part in the free RES auction trading.

Auction date: December 29, 2025, at 15:00

Document submission period: November 29, 2025 – December 19, 2025 (inclusive)
UPS zone: Southern zone (Zhambyl region)

Type of RES: Solar Power Plant (SPP)

Volume of procured installed capacity: 600 MW

Maximum auction price: 34.61 KZT/kWh

Required commissioning date / contract duration: 36 months from the date of contract conclusion / 20 years

Requirements for applicants: To participate in the free auction trading, the applicant must be registered in the Organizer’s trading system database and provide the required documents electronically in accordance with paragraph 30 of Rules No. 466.

Additionally, the applicant must submit the original documents confirming the financial security of the auction application to the Settlement and Financial Center for Support of Renewable Energy Sources LLP no later than 2 (two) working days before the auction start date.
