The free auction trading for 2026 has been successfully completed.

   On May 18, 2026, free auction trading was held for the selection of solar power plant (SPP) construction projects in the Southern Zone of the Unified Power System of the Republic of Kazakhstan (Kyzylorda Region) with a total installed capacity of 65 MW.

   One of the key requirements for the implementation of solar power plant projects within the framework of the free auction trading is the integration of energy storage systems with a capacity of at least 30% of the installed capacity of the facility and with sufficient energy capacity to provide the specified output for no less than four hours.

   Four companies were admitted to participate in the auction trading. During the trading session, participants submitted eighty price bids, while the total volume of submitted applications amounted to 155 MW.

   According to the auction results, the following companies were recognized as winners:

  1. LLP “Bereke-Solar” — project installed capacity: 15 MW; auction price: KZT 31.45/kWh (excluding VAT);
  2. LLP “VIGOR Holding” — project installed capacity: 20 MW; auction price: KZT 31.46/kWh (excluding VAT);
  3. LLP “Tesis” — project installed capacity: 60 MW; auction price: KZT 31.49/kWh (excluding VAT).

   Representatives of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Association of Renewable Energy “Qazaq Green”, the Kazakhstan Electric Power Association, and the Kazakhstan Association of Regional Environmental Initiatives “EcoJer” participated in the auction trading as observers. The observers confirmed the transparency and proper functioning of the electronic trading system operated by JSC “KOREM”.

   The next auctions for the selection of wind power plant (WPP) construction projects are scheduled for May 19, 2026, in the Northern Zone, with a total installed capacity of 100 MW.
