Kazakhstan's National Electric Grid Faces Major Modernization

The Energy Ministry approved a forecast electricity balance through 2035, planning to commission about 17.5 GW of new generating capacity. KEGOC JSC announced it is developing a forecast model for the National Electric Grid using Smart Grid technologies to ensure energy security and integrate renewable sources, including the wind potential of the Dzungarian Gate and Shelek corridor.
