Turkestan: Hydroelectric Power Plant to Be Built in Kazygurt District
A cascade-type hydropower plant with 165 MW capacity is planned for the Ugam River in Kazygurt district between 2022-2025. Shardara HPP, the region's largest generator, has already modernized its four hydro-generators, raising capacity from 100 to 126 MW, while 20 RES projects totaling 220.1 MW were implemented in the region from 2014-2021.
