Kazakhstan's Energy Sector Needs a Long-Term Development Strategy
The electricity deficit forecast for 2022-2028 and increasingly frequent accidents require modernizing the sector's management system and developing a balanced development strategy with a 10-15 year planning horizon. The electricity deficit in 2022 is projected at 4.6 billion kWh, with a capacity deficit of 1,327 MW.
