Kazakhstan Plans to Create a Unified Legal Regulator for the Energy Sector
First Deputy Prime Minister Roman Sklyar reported that legislative amendments have been drafted to strengthen the functions of the state energy supervision body, in response to a parliamentary inquiry. Creating a unified sector regulator would allow a comprehensive approach to tariff formation in the electric power industry.
