Today in the Nur-Sultan As part of campaign on preparation to auctions for selection of RES projects 2019 the "Auction for selection of renewable energy projects" working seminar has been held
The organizer of the seminar was the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, with support of the JSC KAZAKH INVEST NC, the UNDP, the USAID, the JSC KOREM and the FSC of RE LLP. Kazakhstani and foreign companies took part in the seminar.
The purpose of this event is to inform potential investors planning to implement RES projects in the Republic of Kazakhstan about the measures of state support for development of RES sector, including legislative framework, possibility to obtain preferences for investing in RES sector. And beside that the participants have been informed about peculiarities of participation in auction in light of amendments introduced in the Rules of the auction.
- Sospanova, the Director of RES Department of the Ministry of energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in her speech revealed key provisions of the state policy implemented in the course of support and development of RES sector, and informed the audience on amendments in legal framework as well regarding implementation of RES projects in our country.
- Salimzhuarova, the Project Manager of the JSC KAZAKH INVEST NC reported about the support that can be provided to investors by the state, including the procedure for supporting investors in the course of preparation and implementation of investment projects, assistance in cooperation with state agencies, possibility of obtaining preferences for implementation of RES projects in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
This year, the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in cooperation with the UNDP are preparing a pilot project for implementation of SPP 50 MW, the purpose of this project is to auction prepared site with developed pre-project documentation and main technical parameters of the project, including the scheme of power distribution, environmental impact assessment, etc. Y. Dairbekov, the expert of the "Reducing risks of investing in RES" project of the UNDP-GEF informed the participants about this project implementation process.
- Abylkairova, the deputy head of the USAID "Future Energy" program reported about assistance provided by the program and presented key provisions of developed guidelines for investors on implementation of renewable energy projects in Kazakhstan.
In their speeches, the representatives of the JSC KOREM and the FSC of RE LLP drew the attention of potential participants of auctions on amendments in the Rules of the auction adopted in this year and spoke about the procedure of participation in the auction.
In conclusion, the participants had the opportunity to ask questions to the speakers in open dialogue.
