This year we have collaborated with the Ministry of energy of Kazakhstan, the Financial Settlement Center of RE LLP, with the support of the UNDP De-risking of investing in renewable energy sources program and the USAID Future Energy program in terms of making changes and additions in normative legal framework regulating the RES sector, in order to attract investment in industry to create a more comfortable environment for potential investors.

The JSC KOREM itself made the necessary changes to the auction software. The internal regulations of the auction Organizer have been revised.

At the stage of preparation for the auction, we held several sessions of seminars to explain the changes in the legislation. With the support of JSC Kazakh Invest NC two webinars for potential investors were organized. The USAID Future Energy program has developed the second version of the "Guide for investors on implementation of renewable energy projects in Kazakhstan".

The most anticipated event of 2019 during the auction in Kazakhstan will be the launch of a pilot auction with documentation, such a pilot was a solar power plant with an installed capacity of 50 MW. This auction will occur on November 27, 2019. Experts of the UNDP De-risking of investing in RES program have developed pre-project documentation for the Ministry of energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan on this project. We expect that the qualitative preparation of the site will attract a large number of investors and determine a fair market price for electricity.

Our company is proud to be a part of the work carried out in our country to increase the share of renewable energy in the structure of generating capacity. We will do our best to ensure the transparency of the auction.
