On the use of browsers when participating in a centralized auction
Dear bidders! On February 3, 2020, in accordance with the new Rules, the trading software for medium-and long-term periods was updated on the server of JSC «KOREM». The new software has increased the requirements for safety and stability of workplaces.
In particular, Microsoft recognized its proprietary Internet Explorer browser as unsafe and advised against using it as the main web browser. The corresponding statement was made by Microsoft cybersecurity expert Chris Jackson in a blog post published by him in Windows IT Pro. Jackson urged not to use Internet Explorer as the default browser, arguing that its full support was discontinued in 2015, simultaneously with the release of the successor IE-browser Edge.
Therefore, in order to avoid problems with bid submission for the medium and long term, JSC «KOREM» recommends using Microsoft Edge browser instead of Microsoft Internet Explorer, or current versions of other browsers, such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari or their derivatives.
