On September 18, 2023, JSC «Kazakhstan Electric Energy and Capacity Market Operator» received a delegation from South Korea - Korea District Heating Company (KDHC).

KDHC – The Korean District Heating Corporation arrived in Kazakhstan on a business visit from September 17-20 this year. The delegation of the initial composition of three people visited the office of JSC «KOREM».

During the meeting, the management of JSC «KOREM» presented the company's activities, told about the company's role in the Kazakhstan electric energy market, about the types of bidding, the functions of the company as a trading platform for centralized trading of electric energy and capacity, and about the new function introduced this year - the settlement center of the balancing electric energy market. The parties discussed the prospects for the development of Kazakh-Korean relations in the field of generation development, standardization, as well as cooperation in the organization of carbon dioxide emissions trading.
