On May 29, 2024, at the site of JSC «Kazakhstan electricity and power market operator» (hereinafter - KOREM) working meeting was held with a delegation from the Republic of Belarus, consisting of representatives of GPO «Belenergo».

Representatives of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, JSC «National Information Technologies» and JSC «KOREM» took part in the meeting from the Kazakh side.

The working meeting was held within the framework of the development of relations between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Belarus for the exchange of experience.

JSC «KOREM» presented the company's activities with a Single Buyer, spoke about the company's role in the Kazakh electric energy market, about the functions of the company as a trading platform for centralized trading of electric energy with a Single buyer, and about the new function introduced last year - the settlement center of the balancing electric energy market.

In turn, the Belarusian delegation also presented the Belenergo company. Belenergo is a state-owned production association of the electric power industry of the Republic of Belarus, authorized to trade electric energy in the market of flows and import electric energy.

At the end of the meeting, the representatives of the Republic of Belarus thanked for their time and the parties expressed their readiness for further cooperation.
