А meeting with representatives of the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) took place at the site of JSC «KOREM» on September 19, 2024. Representatives from the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan and LLP "Settlement and Financial Center for Support of Renewable Energy Sources" were also present at the event.  

Planning cooperation and talking about the major operations of the German Society for International Cooperation's (GIZ) regional project "Renewable Energy Sources in Central Asia" are the goals of the conference. The project calls for the promotion of regional cooperation in the field of renewable energy, provides technical, organizational and consulting services and capacity building of specialists.

In turn, representatives of JSC «KOREM» spoke about the company's role in the electric power market of Kazakhstan and familiarized the meeting participants with the mechanism for conducting auctions to select renewable energy projects in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The parties discussed the current state and future prospects for the development of renewable energy in Kazakhstan, as well as the experience of European countries in this field. They also discussed the use of equipment in the renewable energy industry, the operation of storage systems for electricity, and the training of specialists to work in this sector in Kazakhstan.
