JSC «Kazakhstan electricity and power market operator» informs about the approval by the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan of the auction schedule for 2025.

In this connection, we invite all interested parties planning the implementation of renewable energy projects in Kazakhstan to participate in the auction for renewable energy sources.

 The auction period: is from May 26 to November 12, 2025

 Total installed capacity: 1,810 MW, of which:

- wind power plants (WPP) – 1 200 MW;

- solar power plants (SPP) - 90 MW;

- hydroelectric power plants (HPP) - 500 MW;

- biofuel power plants (BioPP) - 20 MW.

It should be noted that this year, for the first time, an auction will be held for the construction of a wind farm with an electricity storage system for the Northern Zone of the Unified Electric Power System of the Republic of Kazakhstan, with a total installed capacity of 1,000 MW.

 The auction schedule for 2025 includes information on reserved land plots for planned construction of renewable energy facilities, as well as information on the possibility of connecting energy transmission organizations to power grid points, indicating restrictions on the capacity to be connected and the number of new connections.
