In August 2021, amendments to the Order of the Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan № 466 dated December 21, 2017 "On approval of the Rules for organizing and conducting auctions, including qualification requirements for auction participants, the content and procedure for submitting an application, types of financial support for an application to participate in the auction and the conditions for their entry and return, the procedure for summing up and determining the winners" (hereinafter – the Rules) came into force.

The rules were supplemented with paragraph 8-1. " Auction trades for the selection of projects for the construction of solar and wind power plants are held according to the connection points and land plots specified in the Schedule." Therefore, participants of auctions for wind power and solar power projects need to choose a connection point and a land plot according to the Schedule approved by the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Auction trades for the selection of projects for the construction of solar and wind power plants in 2021 will be held taking into account the changes made to the above Rules.
