On August 11, 2022, the management of KOREM JSC held a meeting with the Secretary - head of the Department of Economics and Change of Great Britain Selena Mcguiness, head of the regional sector Alibekuly R., head of the British trade office of Atyrau Kozhabekov A.

During the meeting, issues on the procedure and timing of auctions for renewable energy were discussed. Attention was also paid to the construction of newly commissioned generating units with maneuverable generation mode in the Kyzylorda and Turkestan regions.

Chairman of the Board of JSC "KOREM" K. Rakhimov noted that Kazakhstan plans to increase the share of renewable energy sources in the total energy balance to 10% by 2030. The main focus is on wind and hydroelectric power plants, which will create new jobs, provide an increase in "green energy", and most importantly attract investment to the regions where the construction of facilities is planned.
