On September 8, within the framework of a working visit to the capital of Kazakhstan, Minister for Energy and Infrastructure of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Kozhoshev Arzybek Orozbekovich and Director of the EEC Energy Department Zakrevsky Vadim Alexandrovich visited the site of JSC «KOREM».

Within the framework of this meeting, the main advantages and achievements of the Company are explained in detail and shown:

- on the organization of centralized bidding for medium-long-term periods of electricity supply;

- spot trading in the «day ahead» mode, the history and stages of its development;

- bidding procedures and pricing mechanisms.

During the meeting, the management of «KOREM» JSC presented a system for guaranteeing payment for transactions concluded at spot auctions in the «day ahead» mode.

In view of the fact that JSC «KOREM» claims to be the operator of the centralized trading market in the general electric power market of the Union, we also focused on the advantages of the trading platform and the rich experience of the Company in conducting centralized trading of electric energy. JSC «KOREM» is ready to modernize and develop a trading platform for the common electric power market of the EAEU countries.

During the meeting with the participation of representatives of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the parties also discussed the criteria for choosing a site (ok) for bidding on fixed-term contracts and for the day ahead, and the procedure for assigning a site (ok).
