On December 19, 2023, the first meeting of the commission for acceptance into trial operation of the «Digital Energy Platform» information system (further – DEP IS) was held at the site of JSC «Kazakhstan Electric Energy Electric Energy and Capacity Market Operator».

In order to implement paragraphs 134 and 135 of the Schedule for the implementation of the national project «Technological breakthrough through digitalization, science and Innovation», approved by the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated October 12, 2021 No. 727 and the implementation of planned measures for the launch of the information system, the composition of the Commission for acceptance into trial operation of the DEP IS was approved.

The Commission consists of 13 specialists in the field of energy, information technology, technological development and R&D. Chairman of the Commission, Director of the Digitalization Department of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Alexey Anisimov.

The meeting was opened by the Chairman of the Commission. Alexey Anisimov noted: «Since last year, JSC «KOREM» has carried out a lot of preparatory work, extra-budgetary funds have been attracted for the development of the digital platform. Currently, all public services and functions that are reflected in our competencies, including in the Regulations of the Ministry of Energy, should be transferred to an electronic format of interaction with subjects. Accordingly, a lot of work is being done to digitize the electric power industry. KOREM, as an Industry center of technological competence, is actively working on a digital solution for monitoring the operation of the electric power industry. The team is small, but productive and made a pre-final decision for such a small amount, and today we gathered to discuss the issues of putting the DEP IS into trial operation».

During the meeting, the functionality of the modules of the digital energy platform was demonstrated, and all members of the Commission were given access to testing the DEP IS.

On the agenda, the goals and objectives of the development of the DEP IS were discussed, information on the organization and working procedure of the Commission was taken into account and executed, acceptance criteria and issues of launching the DEP IS were agreed upon.

As a result of the meeting, the Commission decided to start testing the DEP IS, with the deadline for completing functional testing by the end of this year.
