A representative of JSC «KOREM» as part of an Interdepartmental working group took part in a seminar in Tashkent
January 17-18, 2024 in Tashkent (Republic of Uzbekistan) Interdepartmental working group from Kazakhstan participated in the World Bank seminar on the development of relations and trade in the regional electricity market in Central Asia on the topic: «Basic concepts of the market and the local context».
As part of the Kazakhstani delegation to the event representatives of the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, LLP «SFC for RES», JSC «KEGOC» and JSC «KOREM» took part.
The seminar was held as part of the preparation of the World Bank project on the development of a pilot short-term regional electricity market in Central Asia. The aim of the Project is to develop a regional short-term pilot electricity market for Central Asia, as well as a phased roadmap with transitional mechanisms for the transition from a pilot to a full-fledged market.
The two-day seminar introduced representatives of Central Asian countries to the fundamental principles of the electricity market using examples from different countries.
