On 6th February 2025 was held 140th meeting of the Subcommittee on the Formation of the Common Electric Power Market of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) of the Advisory Committee on the Electric Power Industry. During the meeting were discussed key issues of the development of the integrated electric power market of the Union.
Among the central topics on the agenda are the activities of centralized trading operators on fixed-term contracts in the common electric power market of the EAEU. The participants discussed optimal models of trading mechanisms that contribute to ensuring the stability and transparency of the electricity market.
Another important topic was the consideration of the draft regulations for determining the available and free capacity of interstate and domestic sections for various types of trade. It is expected that this document will improve the use of power grids and increase the reliability of energy supply within the EAEU.
