KOREM JSC held auctions with a capacity of 50 MW
Auction results for construction of wind power plant with total installed capacity of 50 MW were announced
On 26 May 2025, an auction for the selection of renewable energy projects for the construction of a WPP for the South Zone of the Unified Power System (UPS) of the Republic of Kazakhstan with a total installed capacity of 50 MW was held.
Seven companies were allowed to participate in the auction bidding, during the trading session participants submitted 26 price bids. The total volume of submitted bids amounted to 300 MW. The marginal auction price at auction bidding for selection of WPP projects in 2025 was 22.68 tg/kWh (excluding VAT).
During the trading session, the price range of bids received from auction participants was from 22.09 to 13.19 tg/kWh (excluding VAT).
As a result of the auction bidding, the winner was Zhasyl Mura LLP, the installed capacity of the project - 50 MW, auction price - 13.19 tg/kWh (excluding VAT).
Representatives of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, JSC “NC “KAZAKH INVEST”, LLC “Kazakhstan Electricity Association”, Association Of Legal Entities “Kazakhstan Association Of Oil-Gas And Energy Sector Organizations “Kazenergy” took part as observers. Observers confirmed the transparency of the electronic trading system of the auction organiser - KOREM JSC.
The next auctions for the selection of projects for the construction of wind power plants are scheduled for 27 May 2025, Northern Zone, with a total installed capacity of 100 MW.
