Auction results announced for construction of SPP with total installed capacity of 20 MW
On June 17, 2025 the auction bidding for selection of renewable energy projects for construction of SPP for the South Zone of the Unified Power System (UPS) of the Republic of Kazakhstan with total installed capacity of 20 MW was held.
7 companies were allowed to participate in the auction bidding, during the trading session participants submitted 48 price bids. The total volume of submitted bids amounted to 140 MW. The marginal auction price at auction bidding for selection of SPP projects in 2025 was 34.61 tg/kWh (excluding VAT).
During the trading session, the price range of bids received from the auction participants was from 34,40 to 13,99 tg/kWh (excluding VAT).
As a result of the auction bidding, «KSN Solar» LLP was identified as the winner, the installed capacity of the project is 20 MW, the auction price is 13,99 tg/kWh (excluding VAT).
Representatives of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kazakh association of regional environmental initiatives “ECOJER”, the Sustainable Energy Connectivity in Central Asia (SECCA), the Kazakhstan Electric Power Association. The observers confirmed the transparency of the electronic trading system of the auction organizer – KOREM JSC.
The next auctions for the selection of projects for the construction of SPP are scheduled for June 18, 2025, Southern Zone, with a total installed capacity of 20 MW.
