Auction results announced for construction of SPP with total installed capacity of 20 MW
On June 19, 2025 the auction bidding for selection of renewable energy projects for construction of SPP for the South Zone of the Unified Power System (UPS) of the Republic of Kazakhstan with total installed capacity of 20 MW was held.
6 companies were allowed to participate in the auction bidding, during the trading session participants submitted 27 price bids. The total volume of submitted bids amounted to 120 MW. The marginal auction price at auction bidding for selection of SPP projects in 2025 was 34.61 tg/kWh (excluding VAT).
During the trading session, the price range of bids received from the auction participants was from 34,61 to 13,85 tg/kWh (excluding VAT).
As a result of the auction bidding, «Vigor Holding» LLP was identified as the winner, the installed capacity of the project is 20 MW, the auction price is 13,85 tg/kWh (excluding VAT).
Representatives of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kazakh association of regional environmental initiatives “EcoJer”, the Kazakhstan Electric Power Association, Renewable Energy Association “Qazaq Green”, the Kazakhstan Association of Oil-Gas and Energy Sector Organizations «KazEnergy». The observers confirmed the transparency of the electronic trading system of the auction organizer – KOREM JSC.
According to the approved Schedule, the forthcoming auctions for selection of projects for construction of HPPs are scheduled for 23 June 2025, All Zones, with a total installed capacity of 50 MW.
