Announcement for participation in the auctions for the selection of renewable energy projects in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan invites all interested parties to participate in the auctions aimed at the selection of projects for the construction of generating facilities operating using renewable energy sources (hereinafter referred to as " RE auction ") in 2018. The purpose of this event is the selection of investment projects for the construction of generating facilities that operate using renewable energy sources.

In accordance with the Rules of organizing and holding auctions, including qualification requirements for auction participants, the content and procedure for submitting applications, types of financial guarantee for participation in auctions and conditions of their deposit and return, the procedure for summing up the results and determining the winners, approved by the Order of the Minister of energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 466 as of December 21, 2017, the official website of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan (http://energo.gov.kz/ docx, 71 Kb) contains an auction schedule for 2018. Based on the data approved in the schedule, the total capacity planned for the selection in 2018 will be 1000 MW, divided by the types of power stations:

- solar power stations – 290 МW;

- wind power stations - 620 MW;

- hydroelectric power stations - 75 MW;

- Bio ES - 15 MW.

In order to prepare for participation in the RE auction, interested parties can find explanatory information on the official websites of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan (http://energo.gov.kz/), LLP "Financial Settlement Center for Support to Renewable Energy Sources "(Http://www.rfc.kegoc.kz/) and JSC   "KOREM" (http://www.korem.kz/) and take part in explanatory seminars within a fixed timeframe. To participate in RE auction, applicants must meet the following requirements:

1)      be registered in the auction trading system of JSC "KOREM";

2)       conclude a contract with JSC "KOREM";

3)       provide financial guarantee for participation in the auction to the LLP " Financial Settlement Center for Support to Renewable Energy Sources ".

The appendix to this announcement contains the key dates for participation in RE auction for the first auction group, which will take place in May-June and October 2018.
