Almasadam Satkaliyev held a meeting of the Public Council on Fuel and Energy Issues
On May 23, 2023, the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan held a regular meeting of the Public Council on the Fuel and Energy Complex with the participation of the Minister of Energy Almasadam Satkaliyev, where he voiced a number of the most pressing issues that need to be addressed in a consolidated manner with the Public Council,
«Today, the Ministry is facing important tasks, this is an increase in the volume of hydrocarbon raw materials for further processing in order to obtain petrochemical products, which will ensure the creation of small and medium–sized businesses with the production of final products on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as the maintenance of new energy capacities. It is necessary to attract large-scale investments, build energy sources, and all of them, both basic and renewable, maximize the country's potential, ensure energy independence» - Almasadam Satkaliyev noted.
During the meeting, the report of the Chairman of the Public Council, Bolat Auetayev, on the work done by the Public Council, as well as plans for 2023, which include such issues as the commissioning of new commercial gas production facilities, issues of reengineering the processes of regulating the turnover of liquefied gas, further development of the energy industry taking into account the energy balance, the results of the audit of the CHP and electric networks of the country.
«The main purpose of the Public Council is to assist the Ministry in improving the regulatory framework, consideration of topical issues, development of recommendations taking into account the opinions of the public and civil society», - Bolat Auetayev noted.
Also at the meeting, the Chairman of the Kazakhstan branch trade Union of the oil and gas complex, Sultan Kaliyev, spoke about some issues of labor conflicts in the industry, the Chairman of the Kazakhstan Electric Power Association», – Talgat Temirkhanov on environmental requirements and obligations of energy facilities.
In conclusion, the Minister of Energy noted the importance of the Public Council in solving problematic issues in the industry.
