On behalf of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, I express my appreciation and gratitude for participating in the XII International Scientific and Technical Conference «Energy, Information and Communication Technologies and Higher Education»!

The electric power industry is one of the fundamental elements of the fuel and energy complex of the country.

The world has entered the transformational phase of Industry 4.0. We see global changes taking place related to technological innovations and the development of digital technologies.

The issues of further development of the energy industry are on the agenda as never before.

The energy sector works ahead of the curve, relies on the most modern achievements of science and technology, and leads innovations in related industries. The prospects for the development of the electric power industry are associated with the strengthening of the role of consumers in the processes of production, transmission and use of electric energy, clean energy sources, and the improvement of market mechanisms.

The topics proposed at today's conference are very relevant, I believe that the discussion of these problems and new trends in the development of the electric power industry will find application in further research work.

Taking this opportunity, I would like to thank the organizers of today's event, the Almaty University of Energy and Communications is one of the key universities in Kazakhstan that trains highly qualified specialists in energy, telecommunications and IT technologies throughout the Central Asian region.

The integration of educational institutions with business structures and employers characterizes the activities of modern social institutions. Cooperation in education, science and production will lead to an increase in the innovative potential of the economy. In market conditions, Kazakhstani universities have felt the need for a radical transformation of the sphere of employment of graduates in accordance with the requirements of the labor market.

As of today, work has begun on the establishment of an Expert Committee on Education and Science in the field of electric power industry on the basis of AUES, at the Branch Center of Technological Competencies of the Ministry of Energy.

Within the framework of the project, it is planned to develop proposals for the interaction of the country's universities with energy enterprises, scientific organizations and development institutes, the need to build a systematic program aimed at increasing human resources and training highly qualified personnel in the electric power industry.
