At the site of JSC «KOREM» there was a discussion of issues of technical audit of power plants

    A high level of wear entails such problems as high accident rate, large energy losses, unproductive costs. In order to solve acute issues on the technical condition of power facilities, the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan has been instructed to conduct a full technical audit of energy facilities in the regions.

   In order to implement the instructions, on December 1, 2022, the team of «KOREM» JSC organized a meeting with representatives of KPMG, Accelerex and local experts on the plan for conducting a technical audit of energy-producing organizations that sell electric and thermal energy. The first stage of the upcoming technical will affect all power plants related to energy-producing organizations according to the legislation on electric power industry. This work is carried out by order of the Ministry of Energy with the support of the World Bank.

  KPMG is an international network of firms providing audit, tax and consulting services in 150 countries around the world. KPMG has proposed a modern method of tariff formation – RAB regulation, a system of long-term peat formation. The main goal is to attract investment in the expansion and modernization of infrastructure

  To achieve the set goals, «KOREM» JSC acts as a coordinator of this work with the provision of support to KPMG and local experts.

  During the meeting, a detailed plan for conducting a technical audit was considered, as well as a methodology for assessing the condition of power plant equipment.
