Services
JSC KOREM provides four types of services to the wholesale electricity market entities and all interested parties:
- organization and conduct of centralized electricity trading;
- ensuring the readiness of the trading system to conduct centralized trading of electric energy.
The service for organizing and conducting centralized trading of electric energy includes:
- organization and conduct of daily centralized trading of electric energy in the "day ahead" and "during the operating day" modes;
- organization and conduct of centralized electricity trading for medium-and long-term periods (forward transactions for a week, month, quarter, year);
- organization and conduct of centralized trading of electric energy produced by hydroelectric power plants during environmental releases;
- registration and accounting of concluded transactions for the purchase and sale of electric energy at spot auctions;
- organization of mutual settlements for electricity purchased and sold at centralized auctions;
- monitoring the execution of transactions concluded at centralized auctions;
- interaction with the System operator on issues related to the organization and conduct of centralized auctions.
The service of "KOREM" JSC for the organization and conduct of centralized electricity trading shall are paid by the wholesale electricity market entity – a participant of centralized trading – from the volumes of electricity purchase and sale transactions registered in the trading system for centralised trading, at a rate of 0.0035 tenge per 1 kWh (excluding VAT), in accordance with the Minutes of the in-person meeting of the Management Board No. 03-02/24 dated 29 September 2025 on the need to adjust the tariff for the service “Organization and conduct of centralized electricity trading”.
The service for ensuring the readiness of the trading system for centralized trading of electric energy includes:
- maintaining the trading system in constant working order for centralized trading of electric energy;
- determination of compliance of subjects of the wholesale electricity market with the criteria and requirements for participation in centralized auctions of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
- providing subjects of the wholesale electricity market with information on indicative prices for electric energy formed at centralized auctions and other market information;
- instructing participants in the wholesale electricity market on how to work with the trading system;
- monitoring of the electricity market;
- providing information assistance to wholesale market entities on the conclusion of bilateral agreements.
The service of "KOREM" JSC for ensuring the readiness of the trading system for centralized electricity trading has, since 1 May 2018, been paid by the wholesale electricity market entity from the volumes of purchase and sale of electricity on the wholesale electricity market, at a rate of 0.0056 tenge per kWh, in accordance with the Minutes of the in-person meeting of the Management Board No. 03-02/24 dated 29 September 2025 on the need to adjust the tariff for the service “Ensuring the readiness of the trading system for centralized electricity trading”.

The service for organizing and conducting centralized trading of electric power includes:
- registration of participants in centralized auctions of electric power;
- organization and conduct of centralized trading of electric power;
- instructing centralized participants on how to work with the trading system;
- maintaining the trading system in constant working order for centralized trading of electric power.
The service of JSC "KOREM" for organizing and conducting centralized auctions of electric power is paid by participants of centralized auctions of electric power in the amount of 2,000,000 (two millions) tenge without VAT.
The service for organizing and conducting auctions includes:
- registration of participants in auctions for the selection of renewable energy projects;
- organizing and conducting auctions for the selection of renewable energy projects;
- instructing of participants in auctions on the selection of renewable energy projects by auction operators;
- maintaining the trading system in constant working order for conducting auctions for the selection of renewable energy projects.
The service of JSC "KOREM" for the organization and conduct of auction auctions is paid by auction participants: for microgeneration (from 0.1 to 1 MW) - 499,603 tenge (without VAT), for small generation (from 1 to 10 MW inclusive) - 749,404 tenge (without VAT), for large generation (over 10 MW) - 2,000,000 tenge (without VAT)
