Auction bidding were held in Kazakhstan for the construction of newly commissioned generation stations with maneuverable generation mode
On August 23, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. on the trading floor of JSC «KOREM» held auction bidding for the construction of newly commissioned generating units with maneuverable mode of generation for the Northern and Southern zone of EEC of the Republic of Kazakhstan (Aktobe and Zhambyl region).
In accordance with the schedule of auction bidding for the construction of newly commissioned generation units with a maneuverable generation mode, approved by Order of the Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 73 dated February 20, 2024, the volume of services for maintaining the availability of electric power amounted to 450 MW, the maximum auction price was 16 299 800 tenge/MW*month.
10 companies were admitted to participate in the auction bidding, 121 price bids were submitted by participants during the trading session. The total volume of bids submitted amounted to 1 870 MW. According to the results of auction bidding, the total volume of sold capacity amounted to 450 MW.
Decrease in the price range of bids at the auction bidding for the construction of newly commissioned generating units with maneuverable generation mode is observed from 16 299 800 to 10 500 000 tg/MW*month (without VAT). Reduction of price from the limit auction price amounted to 35.58 %.
The following participants were recognized as the winners of the auction:
- LLP «GazEnergyQZ» with the volume – 150 MW at the price – 10 500 000 KZT / MW*month (without VAT);
- LLP «Energy Flow Generation» with the volume – 250 MW at the price – 10 500 000.01 KZT / MW*month (without VAT);
- LLP «GES MYRZATAI» with the volume –50 MW at the price – 10 510 000 KZT / MW*month (without VAT).
Representatives of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Association of Legal Entities «KAZENERGY» participated as observers at the auction bidding for the construction of newly commissioned generating units with maneuverable generation mode. The observers noted the full transparency of the electronic trading system of the auction organizer – JSC «KOREM».
