At the auction for the construction of SPP, the price was reduced by 58%
On September 25, 2024, auctions were held to select renewable energy projects for the construction of a solar power plant with a total installed capacity of 20 MW for the Southern Zone of the UES of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
8 companies were granted permission to participate in the auction, and 53 price offers were submitted by the participants during the trading session. The total value of submitted applications reached 140 МW. The maximum auction price during the auction for the selection of SPP projects in 2024 was 34.61 tenge/kWh (excluding VAT).
The price range of bids received from auction participants during the trading session varied from 34.61 to 14.49 tenge/kWh (excluding VAT).
According to the results of the auction, «DALA SOLAR» LLP was identified as the winner, with an installed project capacity of 20 MW, and the auction price is 14.49 tg/kWh (excluding VAT). The project is planned to be located in the Zhambyl district, Almaty region.
Representatives from the Energy Ministry of Kazakhstan, Kazakhstan Electricity Association and USAID participated as observers. The observers confirmed the transparency of an electronic trading system work of the auction organizer - JSC KOREM.
The next auction, scheduled for September 26, 2024, will select projects for the construction of SPP with a total installed capacity of 20 MW for the Kazakhstan’s Southern zone of the UES.
